Darryn McEvoy

Professor Darryn McEvoy is a geographer and climate adaptation expert affiliated with RMIT University's School of Engineering and the Global Cities Research Institute. He currently leads the Climate Change Adaptation Program and serves as Deputy Director of the Victorian Centre for Climate Change Adaptation Research. His work focuses on interdisciplinary solutions for urban climate resilience, including vulnerability assessment, institutional adaptive management, and stakeholder engagement. Prior to RMIT, he held roles at the University of Manchester and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, contributing to EU projects like ADAM. His research spans climate risk management in cities, extreme weather adaptation, and sustainable development in regions like the Pacific Islands, Hungary, and China.
