Darryl D Mayo

Darryl D Mayo, MPAS, PA is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC), serving as Clinical Coordinator and Instructor for the Primary Care Physician Assistant Program. His roles include teaching, clinical practice, and mentoring students.

He has 22 years of experience in primary care medicine at USC University Park Student Health Center, focusing on women and men’s health, health education for campus organizations, and committee work. He contributed to the Health and Safety and Formulary Committees for over a decade.

His professional service includes over 20 years as an advisory board member for Somerville Place, supporting African-American freshman students. His research interests span clinical topics like breast cancer, postpartum depression, and musculoskeletal injuries, alongside workforce diversity and mentoring strategies in healthcare education.

Dr. Mayo is actively involved in his local church and enjoys sports such as tennis and basketball.
