Dr. Darren Lee is Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at UMass Chan Medical School. His research focuses on immunological mechanisms in autoimmune uveitis and developing novel therapeutic approaches.
Research interests include:
- Regulatory T cell biology
- Melanocortin receptor pathways
- Ocular immunosuppression
- T cell polarization
- Intraocular drug delivery
His publications reveal expertise in characterizing specialized Treg subsets and their role in resolving ocular inflammation. Recent work explores TIGIT+ and PD-1+ regulatory T cells, ocular drug delivery systems, and receptor-dependent immune modulation strategies.
