Darlene M. Brooks

Darlene M. Brooks is an Associate Professor in the Music Therapy department at Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance, where she serves as Director of Music Therapy, Coordinator of the Master’s Program, and Director of Undergraduate Studies. Her 20+ years of clinical experience span adolescents, geriatrics, psychiatric care, and autism, with certifications as a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Reiki Master.

Dr. Brooks’ research focuses on clinical supervision, music therapy education, alternative medicine, and Guided Imagery and Music (GIM). Recent publications highlight trends in supervision practices, end-of-life care, and GIM applications, with articles in the Journal of Music Therapy, Nordic Journal of Music Therapy, and The Arts in Psychotherapy. She also contributes to editorial boards and book reviews.
