Anthony Meadows

Anthony (Tony) Meadows is a Professor and Director of Music Therapy at Shenandoah University's Conservatory, where he has worked since 2014. He also serves as Coordinator of Graduate Music Therapy programs.

His research focuses on music therapy applications in cancer care, clinical improvisation, and professional issues in the field. He has supported student-led research at Shenandoah, leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Meadows has received the Arthur Flagler Fultz Research Award from the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) three times (2008, 2013, 2023) for projects examining chemotherapy symptom management, qualitative synthesis of clinical improvisation research, and electronic health record analysis. He also received the 2016 MAR-AMTA Research Committee Service Award.
