Dara Delgado is an Assistant Professor in the History Department at Allegheny College. Her research focuses on American religious history, particularly the intersection of race, gender, and popular culture in Black Pentecostal movements.

Delgado's work examines the historical roles of Black women in Pentecostal leadership, the socio-political dimensions of healing practices in Holiness movements, and the cultural significance of Black bodily expression in religious contexts. She explores how figures like Bishop Ida Bell Robinson navigated racial and gender barriers.
Her recent publications include analyses of Black Holiness Pentecostal hymnody, gender dynamics in Pentecostal denominations, and the civic engagement of Apostolic Pentecostal leaders. Key themes in her scholarship involve intersectionality, theological resistance, and the sociology of religious identity.
