Danuta Rode

Danuta Rode is a Professor at SWPS University, Head of the Department of Forensic Psychology within the Faculty of Psychology in Katowice. She is a clinical and forensic psychologist with extensive experience as a long-term court expert, specializing in forensic psychology, domestic violence, and behavioral disorders.

• Research Focus: Psychological models of forensic expertise in violent crime, determinants of domestic violence, psychosocial functioning of aggressors, and psychopathological mechanisms in juvenile delinquency.
• Teaching: Offers courses on forensic psychological expertise in juvenile and adult criminal cases, family disorders, and relationships.
• Collaborations: Works with Polish and international research institutions on violence prevention and consultative tasks.
• Training & Mediation: Conducts training for judges, probation officers, and teachers; acts as a mediator in criminal cases.
• Scientific Recognition: Recommended by the Polish Psychological Association, author of award-winning textbooks like Clinical Forensic Psychology (2021 Book of the Year by PWN), and awarded six NCN projects.
