Danna Oomen is a Researcher at Leuphana University's Institute for Management & Organization (IMO), affiliated with the Professorship for Psychology specializing in Cognitive-, Social- and Economic Psychology. She holds a PhD from Ghent University (2023) and an MSc from Leiden University (2018). Her research focuses on social perception, autism spectrum disorder, and neurophysiological methods like EEG. She has conducted clinical internships at PsyQ in The Hague and worked in psychiatric inpatient units during her bachelor's.
Her academic journey includes research at the University of Oxford under Prof. Elaine Fox and supervision from Prof. Roeljan Wiersema and Prof. Marcel Brass. Key research areas include biological motion perception, social interaction recognition, and psychological impacts of the pandemic on autism communities. She employs EEG (ERP, frequency tagging), skin conductance, and heart rate monitoring in studies.
Teaching and research projects span entrepreneurship psychology, innovation, and sustainable entrepreneurship. She collaborates with interdisciplinary teams including the LIONA Reginnb initiative for regional innovation and the Leuphana Sustainable Entrepreneurship Certificate (L-SEC) program.
