Danka Miscevic is a Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Borås, Faculty of Caring Science, Work Life and Social Welfare, Department of Working Life and Welfare. She has been working at the University since 2017, having previously worked at the University of Gothenburg where she completed her doctoral studies.
Her research interests focus on working life and working conditions, fixed-term employment, management, governance and organization, feminist theory, professional identity and work environment. What particularly engages her are the challenges that characterize a changing and flexible working life with a particular focus on social sustainability in working life. Her work often examines these issues from a gender perspective, especially regarding precarious employment conditions.
Her publication record includes research on freelance actors in the labor market and working conditions in home care services in Borås city. These works demonstrate her consistent focus on labor market dynamics, professional identity formation, and the intersection of gender with working conditions.
She is actively involved in teaching within the OPUS program (Organizational and Human Resources Developers in Society) and the Administrator Program, while also supervising and examining degree theses at both undergraduate and advanced levels.
