Danielle Skropeta

Danielle Skropeta is Professor and Associate Dean (Higher Degree Research) at University of Wollongong. She specializes in carbohydrate-based drug discovery and natural product chemistry.

Research develops glycosylation inhibitors as anti-cancer/anti-biofilm agents. Utilizes computational design and synthesis of carbohydrate analogs. Recent work targets bacterial sliding clamps and sialyltransferases.

Fellow of Royal Australian Chemical Institute. Leads multiple PhD projects on glycan-based therapies and neutron capture agents.

Teaching includes medicinal chemistry curriculum design and cross-disciplinary science education innovation.
