Danielle M. Candelario

Danielle M. Candelario serves as Associate Professor and Associate Director of Pharmacy Skills Education in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science's College of Pharmacy, teaching across the three-year Pharmacy Skills Lab curriculum with emphasis on patient communication, counseling, physical assessment, simulation, and literature evaluation.

Her educational background includes:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
• PGY-1 Residency in Community Practice at A&P Pharmacy in conjunction with The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University

Dr. Candelario's research centers on Transitions of Care and Student-Run Free Clinics, informed by her prior development of an inter-professional transitional care unit at Jersey Shore University Medical Center where she resolved patient care gaps during discharge transitions. She also investigates assessment methodologies and educational scholarship within pharmacy practice.

As an educator, Dr. Candelario precepts APPE Academic rotation students and advises APhA-ASP and the Interprofessional Community Clinic (a student-run free clinic serving North Chicago's uninsured). She chairs the Assessment and Evaluation Committee and serves on the Student Progression Committee, demonstrating institutional leadership in curriculum development and student oversight.
