Danielle L. Mead

Danielle L. Mead is an Associate Professor in Child and Adolescent Development at San Jose State University. She holds a PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology from George Mason University (2015).

Her research examines language development in children, including narrative storytelling, crib speech, private speech, bilingualism, and early gesture use. She also studies special populations including autism spectrum disorders and at-risk, ethnically-diverse children.
