Danielle Fosler-Lussier

Danielle Fosler-Lussier is Professor of Musicology at The Ohio State University's School of Music, with affiliations in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies and the Mershon Center for International Security Studies. Holding a PhD from UC Berkeley, she directs the Imagined Futures Graduate Professional Development Initiative and leads the NEH-funded Many Musics of America project.

Her research explores music in international relations, cultural diplomacy during the Cold War, women's contributions to music institutions, and global musical migrations. She has authored acclaimed books including 'Music in America's Cold War Diplomacy' (2015) and the open-access 'Music on the Move' (2020), which received the AMS Teaching Award.
