Carol A. Hess is a Distinguished Professor of Music at the University of California, Davis, specializing in the music of Spain and Latin America. Her research explores cultural diplomacy, musical modernism, and transnational exchanges.

Her scholarly contributions span peer-reviewed articles on topics such as Silvestre Revueltas in Spain, Manuel de Falla’s neoclassicism, and the Good Neighbor Policy’s influence on musical exchanges.
