Dr. Daniele Fulvi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Humanities and Communication Arts, Western Sydney University. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the same institution. His research focuses on environmental philosophy, climate ethics, and the philosophy of nature, with a particular emphasis on Friedrich Schelling and Giuseppe Rensi. Fulvi explores themes such as ontological evil, immanence, and the ethical implications of climate engineering. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action) and aligns with interdisciplinary environmental ethics.
Recent projects include the CSIRO-funded initiative 'Reassessing Risk in Decision-Making on Engineering Biology' (2024–2025), addressing synthetic biology's role in climate mitigation. He has published widely on topics like risk ethics in climate technofixes and the philosophical underpinnings of environmental responsibility. His 2023 book Schelling, Freedom, and the Immanent Made Transcendent bridges philosophy of nature and environmental ethics.
