Daniela Standen is an Associate Professor and Academic Director of Teaching and Learning at the NUIST-Reading Academy, part of the University of Reading. She leads on academic quality, international curriculum development, and global graduate attributes. Her roles include membership in the University's International Working Group and oversight of international foundation programs. Standen holds a M.Ed. in Applied Linguistics and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Her teaching and research focus on intercultural competence, academic literacies, inclusive pedagogy, and assessment innovation. Standen has pioneered initiatives such as the Global Graduate Programme and the Red Global Engagement Award.
