Daniela Plana

Dr. Daniela Plana is a Senior Lecturer in Chemical and Physical Sciences at Keele University. With a Chemistry degree from Universidad Simón Bolívar and PhD from the University of Manchester, her research focuses on electrocatalysis and energy materials, with recent emphasis on chemical education methodologies.

Research domains:

• Nanostructured electrocatalysts for CO₂ reduction
• Spectroelectrochemistry at liquid/liquid interfaces
• Transnational education pedagogy

Her educational research examines UK-China transnational programs and team-based learning efficacy. Professional service includes development of the 3+1 joint degree with Nanjing Xiaozhuang University and leadership in curriculum innovation.
