Daniela Erminia Manno

Daniela Erminia Manno is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Physics "Ennio De Giorgi" at the University of Salento. She specializes in experimental physics with a focus on electron microscopy and nanotechnology research. Her academic career spans over three decades at the University of Salento (formerly University of Lecce).

Her research interests include:

• Nanostructured systems synthesis and characterization
• Development of sensors (resistive and optical)
• Magnetic nanoparticles for hyperthermic applications
• Nanostructured piezoelectric films
• Photocatalytic water purification technologies

Professor Manno teaches Solid State Physics for the Physics Master's Degree program and General Physics for Civil Engineering students. She is responsible for the Laboratory of Electron Microscopy within the Applied Physics Group and serves as a referee for prestigious scientific publications including those from Elsevier, IOP, and AIP.

With over 125 publications to her name, she maintains an h-index of 25 and has garnered more than 2000 citations according to Scopus data. Her technical expertise spans multiple electron microscopy techniques including HRTEM, SEM-EDX, and scanning probe microscopy methods.
