معرفی
Daniela Caporossi is a Full Professor in the Department of Human Motor Sciences and Health at the University of Rome 'Foro Italico'. She specializes in Cell Biology and Functional Genomics applied to movement and sport sciences, focusing on genetic and epigenetic mechanisms in systemic adaptation to exercise, exercise and redox homeostasis, and molecular cross-talk in muscle cells. Her research explores topics like αB-crystallin modulation, extracellular vesicles dynamics, and the role of physical activity in disease prevention.
She leads the International Master's Degree Course in Physical Activity and Health and heads the Laboratory of Biology and Genetics of Movement. Her work bridges basic science with translational research, emphasizing the molecular and cellular adaptations to physical activity. Key achievements include the SFRR-E Young Investigator Award (2014) for contributions to free radical research.
Caporossi is involved in teaching courses like 'Research Methodology' and 'Biomedical Issues in Health and Exercise' across multiple degree programs, including the European Master of Science in Health and Physical Activity. Her recent publications highlight the role of exercise in modulating redox pathways, epigenetic changes in cancer patients, and extracellular vesicle biology.
