Dr. Daniel W. Eadens is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Higher Education at the University of Central Florida (UCF), serving as Program Coordinator for UCF's Educational Leadership & Higher Education Programs (MA, MEd, Modified Core, EdS, EdD). Previously, he held roles as Assistant Department Chair and tenured Associate Professor at Northern Arizona University, alongside early career experiences as an elementary music teacher, middle school special education instructor, behavior specialist, and school administrator in Florida public schools. A retired U.S. Army Reserve Major, he served in Japan and Iraq.
His research emphasizes critical issues in education, including school safety, social justice, and school board dynamics. He co-edited the book Social Justice Instruction: Empowerment on the Chalkboard and actively contributes to peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and professional publications. He reviews for multiple journals and supports educational initiatives through professional associations.
Dr. Eadens is affiliated with UCF's Digital Learning Center and the Teach Online Pedagogical Repository (TOPR), advancing online teaching strategies. His work bridges educational leadership theory with practical applications in K-12 and higher education contexts.
