Daniel Trias Mansilla

Daniel Trias Mansilla is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Construction Engineering, University of Girona. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering (2005) from the University of Girona and previously worked as a researcher at the Wind Energy Department of CENER (2006-2008).

His research focuses on composite materials, including optimization of composite structures and transverse random fracture analysis. He contributes to undergraduate and master's programs, teaching courses like Machine Elements, Simulation of Mechanical Systems, and Fracture Mechanics.

Active in the Research Group on Advanced Materials for Structural Design (AMADE), he has co-authored over 20 publications in indexed journals related to composite material applications and structural design.

He has served as Coordinator of the Degree in Engineering in Industrial Technologies since 2016 and assumed coordination of the Double Degree in Business Administration and Management and Engineering in Industrial Technologies in 2023.
