Norbert Blanco Villaverde is a Full Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Construction Engineering within the Polytechnic School of the University of Girona. He holds degrees in Mechanical Industrial Engineering (UdG, 1995), Industrial Engineering (UPC, 1998), and a Doctorate from the University of Girona (2005).
His research focuses on
- Numerical and experimental analysis of composite materials with oriented reinforcement and polymer matrices
- Damage modeling in intra- and interlaminar fracture
- Additive manufacturing (3D printing) of composites
Teaching activities include mechanics, machine design, finite element modeling, and composite material analysis at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is affiliated with the AMADE research group (Analysis and Advanced Materials for Structural Design).
