معرفی
Daniel Talesnik is a Lecturer in the Department of Architecture & Civil Engineering at the University of Bath, affiliated with the Centre for Regenerative Design & Engineering for a Net Positive World (RENEW). His work spans architectural history, urban design, and socio-political dimensions of the built environment, with a focus on Latin America, particularly Chile, and modernist movements such as Bauhaus and critical regionalism.
His research interests include architecture and political discourse, homelessness and urban inclusion, public space as a catalyst for social change, and sustainable and regenerative urban development. He explores how architecture mediates societal challenges, especially under authoritarian regimes and in contexts of marginalization.
The recent articles and talks highlight a strong thematic trend: the intersection of architecture with social justice, political history, and public engagement. Works such as Who’s Next? Homelessness, Architecture and Cities and ¿Fue el posmodernismo la arquitectura del pinochetismo? demonstrate a deep commitment to uncovering architecture’s role in societal transformation and historical memory.
