Daniel Schlier

Daniel Schlier is a Professor at Beaux-Arts de Paris, where he has taught drawing since 2017. Previously, he held professorships in painting at HEAR Strasbourg and HEAD Geneva, establishing a career bridging academic instruction and artistic creation.

His practice spans painting, drawing, and engraving across diverse supports including canvas, marble, glass, and wood. Schlier's work explores figures, landscapes, and grotesques as dynamic organisms in constant dialogue with their constitutive elements, generating new visual worlds that capture the complexity of contemporary existence through material experimentation.

Internationally recognized, Schlier has exhibited at the Grand Palais (Paris, 2006), MAMC Strasbourg (2007), and Beijing International Art Biennale (2009), demonstrating his significant contribution to contemporary visual arts through both creation and pedagogy.
