Daniel Pittich

Prof. Dr. Daniel Pittich is a Professor of Technology Didactics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), affiliated with the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology and the TUM School of Engineering and Design. He holds a dual role in these schools, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration. His career began with vocational training as a carpenter, followed by academic studies in Technical Education and Mathematics at Leibniz University Hannover. He held positions at TU Darmstadt and the University of Siegen before joining TUM in 2018.

His research focuses on competency modeling, technical education, digital transformation, and learning factories. Notable publications include works on learning factories, competence diagnostics, and vocational teacher training. He leads projects like Hybrid-Learn and BBI@TUM, exploring digital pedagogy and international vocational education.

Awards include TUM Junior Fellow and membership in the TUM Senior Excellence Faculty. He advises multiple students and chairs the Technology Didactics department, contributing to educational policy and teacher development initiatives.
