Daniel Perez

Dr. Daniel Perez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance, Information Systems, Economics, and Risk Management at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD). His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Finance (AACSB Accredited) from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (2007-2011), an MBA from the same institution (2005-2006), and a BBA in Finance (AACSB Accredited) from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Dr. Perez has presented at national conferences including the Financial Management Association, Midwest Finance Association, and Southwestern Finance Association. He is involved in faculty development workshops related to digital fluency, inclusive pedagogy, and teaching excellence. Dr. Perez also serves on multiple university, college, and departmental committees, including strategic planning and curriculum development.
