Daniel Olivares, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Gonzaga University, where he teaches courses like UI/UX Design (CPSC 331), Computer Graphics (CPSC 425), and previously Computer Science I (CPSC 121), Computer Science II (CPSC 122), Web Development (CPSC 332), and Mobile App Development (CPSC 333). He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Washington State University (2019) and a B.S. in Computer Science from Humboldt State University (2011).
Research Interests:
- Computer Science Education
- Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
- Technology Integration in Classrooms and Everyday Life
- Ubiquitous Computing Applications
- Gamification for Learning
Publications focus on IDE-based interventions for social learning environments, gamification methodologies, and learning analytics frameworks. His work includes ACM Transactions on Computing Education (2021) and IEEE ICALT (2019) articles.
