Meghan Allen is the Associate Head of Undergraduate Affairs and Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She specializes in computer science education, with a focus on inclusive pedagogy, curriculum design, and teaching methodologies. Her work addresses challenges faced by English Language Learners (ELLs), non-majors, and diverse student populations in STEM education. Allen has taught numerous introductory computer science courses, including CPSC 107, 110, 121, and 210, emphasizing practical programming skills and systemic program design.
Allen's research spans autograding innovations, student engagement strategies, and the efficacy of online learning tools.
