Dr. Daniel Menadue is a Research Officer in Agronomy at the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI). His expertise spans plant molecular biology, plant phenotyping, and agronomic strategies to improve crop resilience and production. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Science from The University of Adelaide (2018) and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Plant Science from the same institution (2014), alongside a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Bioscience from Flinders University (2013).
His current research focuses on enhancing oaten hay production and quality through agronomic management, supported by AgriFutures Australia. Notable achievements include the Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence (2018) and grants from the Grains Research and Development Corporation and Plant Nutrition Trust.
Dr. Menadue has contributed to projects at The University of Adelaide and SARDI, with a focus on plant breeding and stress tolerance mechanisms in bread wheat. His work integrates molecular genetics with field-based agronomic practices to address challenges in crop productivity and sustainability.
