Daniel McDonough

Daniel McDonough is an Associate Professor of Music at the University of Illinois and a founding member of the award-winning Jupiter String Quartet. He serves as Artist in Residence / Cello and is internationally recognized for his chamber music performances and recitals.

Education:

His research and professional focus centers on Chamber Music and Cello Performance, with additional interests in String Orchestra collaboration, Music Education, and Classical Performance. Daniel's work involves extensive touring, recordings with major labels like Deutsche Grammophon, and collaborations with renowned musicians such as Menahem Pressler and Jeremy Denk.
