Daniel M. Maggin is a Professor and Associate Dean of Research in the Department of Special Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He also serves as Chair of Special Education and holds roles as Co-Editor of Behavioral Disorders and Associate Editor for Remedial and Special Education and Journal of Positive Behavior Interventions. His research focuses on evidence-based practices for students with disabilities, particularly those with emotional and behavioral disorders, emphasizing instructional strategies, assessment methods, and promoting research use in schools.
