Professor Daniel Kam Yin Chan is a senior staff specialist and director of Aged Care and Rehabilitation at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital. He holds conjoint Professorship in Geriatrics at the University of New South Wales and an adjunct Professorship at the University of Western Sydney. His clinical and research expertise spans vascular dementia, Parkinson's disease, falls prevention, acute geriatric outreach services, and traditional herbal medication trials for vascular dementia.
Key qualifications include FRACP, FHKCP (clinical practice), MD (research), and MHA, AFCHSE (health service management). His research has resulted in over 160 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals like New England Journal of Medicine and Lancet, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases and geriatric health service innovations.
