Victoria Haunton is an academic geriatrician affiliated with the University of Plymouth and Peninsula Medical School, holding roles as Head of Clinical Academic Training School and Honorary Associate Professor. Her research focuses on cerebral haemodynamics, including cerebral autoregulation and neurovascular coupling in aging and neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular emphasis on Parkinson’s disease, vascular disease, and frailty. She leads the NIHR Clinical Academic Training Programme in Plymouth and co-leads Parkinson’s clinical trials at University Hospitals Plymouth. Current grants include NIHR HTA Programme and Parkinson’s UK funding.

Research Interests: Her work integrates clinical practice with translational research, addressing cerebral blood flow dynamics in aging, vascular pathologies (e.g., peripheral artery disease), and neurodegenerative conditions. She explores interventions to reduce major amputations in limb-threatening ischemia and improving dementia care in Parkinson’s patients.
