Daniel J. Crona

Daniel J. Crona is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy and a member of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research integrates epigenetics, developmental therapeutics, and clinical pharmacology to optimize treatment strategies for hematology/oncology patients through a functional genomics paradigm.

Dr. Crona's work focuses on revealing molecular mechanisms underlying the interplay between patient genotype, phenotype, and epigenetics, then integrating this information with clinical pharmacology principles including pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics to optimize drug selection and dosing. His research spans precision dosing, pharmacogenomics, cancer therapeutics, and management of drug-related toxicities, with applications across multiple therapeutic areas in oncology.
