Daniel J. C. Herr

Professor Daniel J. C. Herr is a pioneering academic in nanotechnology and quantum computing. He holds the position of Professor at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN) under the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNC-Greensboro), where he leads a transdisciplinary team addressing foundational nanoscience and national grand challenges. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University, co-teaching graduate-level courses on nanoelectronics.

• Research Interests: Collaborative nanotechnology, quantum computing, IoT infrastructure, and convergent scientific approaches.
