Rev. Daniel Groody is a Professor of Theology and Concurrent Faculty in the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame. He also serves as Vice President and Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education. His primary research focuses on the intersection of theology and migration, particularly refugee theology and the spirituality of immigrants.
Education: Ph.D. in Theological Studies. Key research areas include theologies of migration, social change through heart’s desire, and global justice frameworks. He has authored influential books like *A Theology of Migration* (Catholic Press Association First-Place Award) and co-edited works on migration theology.
Internationally recognized for collaborating with institutions like the Vatican, UN, and U.S. Congress, his work bridges faith-based advocacy and policy. He produced documentaries such as *Dying to Live: A Migrant’s Journey*, blending academic rigor with public engagement. His roles in undergraduate education emphasize integrating theological reflection with global citizenship.
