Daniel Foster

Daniel Foster, DO, MPH, MS, is a Clinical Professor in Neurology at the Uniformed Services University (USU) School of Medicine. He serves as an Attending Physician at the Washington DC VAMC, leading movement disorders and cognitive impairment clinics. His clinical expertise spans neurology, behavioral neurology, and preventive medicine. He holds degrees from the University of Virginia, Pennsylvania State University, AT Still University (D.O.), and Johns Hopkins University (MPH).

Research interests include neurodegenerative diseases, drug safety, and public health interventions. He has authored studies on opioid management, ketamine-related hepatotoxicity, and pediatric health. Awards include the CDER Honor Award and the Dr. Frances O. Kelsey Drug Safety Excellence Award. He actively teaches medical students and residents, emphasizing clinical practice and preventive strategies.

Prior roles include FDA drug safety reviewer and private neurology practice. He has been board-certified in Neurology since 2007 and in Behavioral Neurology since 2012.
