Daniel Dylan is an Associate Professor at Lakehead University's Bora Laskin Faculty of Law, teaching Animal Law, Contracts, Evidence, and Intellectual Property & Indigenous Knowledge Governance since joining in August 2016.

His work uniquely bridges Wildlife Law, Natural Resources extraction, and Phish Studies scholarship.
His publications critically examine colonial narratives in Canadian identity and Nunavut's environmental assessment systems, highlighting tensions between Indigenous rights and regulatory frameworks in Arctic governance.
