Daniel Drost is Assistant Dean of the Usha Kundu, MD College of Health and Interim Chair of the Department of Public Health at the University of West Florida. He is also a faculty member in the Department of Movement Sciences and Health, contributing to interdisciplinary health and education programs.
His research centers on teaching behaviors in physical education, with a strong focus on how feedback and motivational strategies influence student achievement, skill performance, and engagement. He advocates for the academic legitimacy of physical education and promotes evidence-based teaching practices.
The recent publications highlight his work in educational feedback and the conceptual foundation of physical education.
