Daniel Diamond is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law. A proud member of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation, he specializes in synthesizing legal history, legal theory, and property law to examine Indigenous legal and political issues, particularly focusing on historic injustice and contemporary redress. His teaching includes Contracts and Indigenous Methodologies and Perspectives.
- Education: B.A. (Hon) from University of Winnipeg, J.D. from University of Toronto, LL.M. from University of Toronto
Research Interests: Daniel's work centers on Indigenous legal traditions, Aboriginal law, legal history, and property law, with a focus on addressing historical injustices and advancing Indigenous legal frameworks. He previously served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Indigenous Law Journal and Co-President of the Indigenous Law Students Association.
