Dr. Daniel Collins is an Instructional Associate Professor at Texas A&M University's Department of Chemistry within the College of Arts and Science. He specializes in teaching organic chemistry and general chemistry courses, emphasizing active learning and student success. His research focuses on educational tools like online videos and homework platforms to enhance STEM engagement. Notably, he serves as Co-Director of Outreach for the Chemistry Department, expanding STEM opportunities for K-12 students through events and competitions. Collins is also a faculty member on key university panels, including the Aggie Honor Council and Discipline Appeals Panel, ensuring academic integrity and student conduct standards. His outreach efforts include representing the Chemistry Department as the Mole Mascot since 2015. Awards highlight his teaching excellence, including the 2024 Provost APT Award and the 2023 FYE Advocate Award.
Education: B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Dayton (2007); Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina (2012). Prior roles include lecturer positions at the University of South Carolina and The Florida State University.

His presentations address topics like metacognition in learning and light board technology for online instruction. He has led workshops on diversity and inclusion at Texas A&M and contributed to national chemistry competitions as a judge and organizer.
