Dr. Daniel Charlebois is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Alberta, with adjunct roles in Biological Sciences and Biomedical Engineering. His research bridges physics and biology, focusing on antimicrobial resistance, biophysics, and synthetic biology. He leads the Charlebois Lab, located in the Centennial Center for Interdisciplinary Science, which combines experimental and computational approaches to study microbial drug resistance mechanisms using genetically engineered yeasts and machine learning.
