Daniel Abebe is the Dean and Lucy G. Moses Professor of Law at Columbia Law School, effective August 2024. He previously served as Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Governance at the University of Chicago, where he was also the Harold J. and Marion F. Green Professor of Law and Deputy Dean. His academic leadership roles include shaping university policies on free expression and institutional neutrality.
