University of Osloمعرفی
Dani Beck is a Researcher at the PROMENTA Research Center within the Department of Psychology at the University of Oslo (2025–present). Previously, she held a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Developmental Neuroscience at Diakonhjemmet Hospital (2021–2025), a Visiting Scholar position at the University of Oregon (Spring 2023), and a Researcher role at NORMENT: Norwegian Center for Research on Mental Disorders (2021). She earned a PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience (2018–2021), a Master’s in Cognitive Neuroscience (2015–2017), and a BSc in Psychology (2010–2013).
Her research focuses on structural/functional brain development in childhood/adolescence, the impact of early stress (socioeconomic challenges, trauma, neglect), and the interplay between cardiovascular/metabolic factors and brain health. She employs advanced multimodal neuroimaging techniques, particularly structural MRI and DTI, to explore brain maturation patterns and risk factors across the lifespan.
Publications highlight work on brain age prediction, puberty’s effects on maturation, and links between cardiometabolic health and brain integrity. She collaborates widely, contributing to projects on schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and developmental psychopathology.
