Dandan Yu is a Researcher at Macquarie University's Centre for the Health Economy (MUCHE), where she joined in July 2023. She holds a PhD in Economics from UNSW Sydney (2019), a Master's in Economics from Peking University (2015), and a Bachelor's in Economics from Peking University (2013). Prior to this, she served as a Research Fellow at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR) from February 2019 to July 2023.
Her research focuses on healthy ageing, healthcare systems analysis, and policy evaluation using econometric modeling. Key areas include the impact of education on elderly internet connectivity, alcohol consumption's role in mortality, and regulatory frameworks in healthcare. She has contributed to projects such as the 'Overview of Australian Healthcare System and Regulatory Frameworks in the Biomedical Industry.'
