Professor John Reginald Piggott is a leading economist at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), serving as Scientia Professor of Economics and Director of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR). His career spans decades of influential work on retirement economics, pension policy, and fiscal sustainability, with significant contributions to public policy through advisory roles in Australia and international institutions.
