Dandan Liu is a Professor in the Department of Economics at Kent State University. She specializes in applied macroeconomics, econometrics, and economic forecasting. Dr. Liu holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Texas A&M University (2005), an MA in Finance from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (2000), and a BA in International Finance from the same institution (1997).
Her work bridges theoretical econometric frameworks with practical policy applications, particularly in understanding how central bank decisions influence financial markets and economic stability. Key areas include evaluating the predictive power of oil prices on economic outcomes, analyzing the effects of Federal Reserve policy deliberations, and studying structural breaks in health expenditure patterns across OECD countries.
