Dana Washburn

Dana Washburn is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Programs in Occupational Therapy, Science & Technology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (College of Health Sciences). With 27 years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist and 14 years as an educator, her expertise focuses on physical rehabilitation of adults across acute care, sub-acute rehabilitation, home health, and outpatient settings, with specialized knowledge in shoulder rehabilitation.

Dana champions interprofessional education (IPE), organizing collaborative events with the Medical College of Wisconsin and UWM to enhance clinical practice readiness. Her research explores clinical fieldwork education, interprofessional teamwork, and patient compliance with treatment programs. She teaches courses in physical rehabilitation, physical agents, critical evaluation of theory/research, and professional development seminars.
