Dana Rowan

Dana Rowan is an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate in the School of Design Studies Real Estate Development Program at Boston Architectural College (BAC). He is also the founding partner of The Exeter Companies (TEC), a private equity and advisory firm with expertise in real estate investment, development, and financial restructuring. His career spans over 45 years, including leadership roles at New Boston Fund, The Recovery Group (now CRG/Deloitte), and Prudential’s Acquisition & Sales Group.

His research and professional work focus on value-add property repositioning, large-scale urban/ex-urban land development, and revitalizing waterfront industrial districts. Post-2008, he led advisory services for Bank of America and impaired institutions in the Northeast. He also contributes to academic discourse through teaching in BAC’s Real Estate Development Program.

Rowan has held prominent industry roles, including past national chairman of NAIOP and leadership in ULI and the Real Estate Investment and Advisory Council. At BAC, he helped establish the Real Estate Development Program and served as Trustee Emeritus after a 5-year board tenure and 15 years as an Overseer.
