Thomas Sherlock

Thomas Sherlock is a Lecturer in the Economics/Public Policy area at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine. He brings extensive industry experience from a 33-year career in commercial real estate, currently serving as Co-Founding Principal of Talonvest Capital, Inc.

His research interests focus on Real Estate Capital Markets and Entrepreneurship. With deep expertise in capital raising, joint ventures, and strategic advisory, his work bridges academic instruction with real-world application in real estate finance and development.

Mr. Sherlock has been instrumental in industry and academic engagement, having founded the award-winning Young Professionals Group at NAIOP and established the CRE-NAIOP Fellowship at UC Irvine. He currently serves on the UCI Center for Real Estate Executive Committee and the ULI Capital Markets Forum.
